New Zealand Association of Women Judges report for November 2017 meeting

The NZAWJ AGM/Conference was held at Rydges Hotel, Auckland on 4 November 2017. It was followed by a dinner at No. 5 City Rd. Our guests included Judges Robyn Tupman, Frances Millane of Australia, Lyn Voice, CEO of the Salisbury Centre in Christchurch, Judges Arthur Tompkins and Anne Kiernan from the District Court. We were entertained by two talented young opera singers from the Auckland School of Music. In his after-dinner presentation, entitled “Rose Valland – the Spy in the Museum”, Arthur provided a fascinating insight into the work of Rose Valland, Art Curator in Paris, whose efforts saved many art treasures during World War II.
